Riverkeeper Wish List
The Indian
Riverkeeper is committed to an on the water presence in the Indian River
Lagoon and its watershed. We are in need of members, to show the breadth of
local support for clean water.
We need member contributions that will bring matching grant funding and give
us standing in the face of new legislation requiring members in counties
where our appeals are to be presented.
We need funds for our legal challenges of the Lake Toho drawdown, deep well
injection of partially treated sewage and the discharge of polluted water
into our estuary from Lake Okeechobee and the SFWMD canals.
We need video, office and presentation equipment to build our capacity, to
document pollution and to report to the public.

| Possom
the Pipefish needs your help. Opossum pipefish live in the Atlantic
Ocean, Carribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Their only true home,
where they mate and breed, is along the Treasure Coast in the Sebastian,
Loxahatchee and St. Lucie Rivers. Possom's home is threatened by stormwater
runoff and weed control. |
